Gong Xi Fa Cai !!

Happy Lunar New Year!

In Mandarin "Happy New Year" is Gong Xi Fa Cai. Gong Hey Fat Choy in Cantonese. Gong Xi is congratulations or respectfully wishing one joy. Fa Cai is to become rich or to make money. So, Gong Xi Fa Cai means wishing you to be prosperous in the coming year.

Mady and I celebrated together and the rest of the family got to celebrate when they got home from their various activities......we had a wonderful time together and are looking forward to attending two more Lunar New Year celebrations...One this weekend and one the following weekend. We ate noodles, Mandarin oranges, pot stickers, and almond cookies, Yummy. The photo of me with my head cut off Mady took, pretty good huh!
