Halloween Activities
We celebrated Halloween with all the usual fun activities. Mady couldn't decide what kind of face she wanted on her pumpkin and ended up drawing lots of little shapes all over and having me cut them out. Jordan always finds something original and Ryan tried to come up with a funny face she would enjoy. We found ourselves with only one child on Halloween as the teenagers where off with their friends. So we trick or treated on our street and took Mady over to the carnival at her school. She got to get her face painted, make a bird feeder out of a pine cone, peanut butter and birdseed, and put together a cat out of paper plates and construction paper. She thought this was all very fun since it was all new to her. We ended up at Nana and Papa's for the big treats. Jordan and his friend Silas spent the afternoon working on Robot costumes and then enjoyed wandering around town having people stare and laugh at them. What more fun could you have on Halloween??
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle, That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable." Brennan Manning

"That's not why I pray--I pray because I can't help myself--the need flows out of me.It doesn't change God; it changes me."
