For Sandi

Japanese Salad

SALAD

1/2 head cabbage, shredded
2 green onion, chopped
2 T. sesame seeds
2 T. sliced almonds, or sunflower seeds
1 Chicken breast, cooked and chopped
1/2 package Ramen noodles, crushed

DRESSING

2 T. sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 teas. salt
1 teas. pepper
3 T. red wine vinegar
1 teas. accent

Mix the dressing up and let chill, the longer the better.
Prepare the salad ingredients and mix dressing and salad together. Don't add the Ramen noodles till just before serving, or they get soggy.

It is fun to toast the seeds and almonds in the oven. It is extra yummy! I am just sure you will go to that trouble :)

I usually double this recipe for my family, oh and if I make this for a side dish I don't add the chicken.

Enjoy!
